Canadian Violinist Joenne is currently a doctoral candidate in Stony Brook University in New York where she also serves as a faculty member in the college division. Born in 1988, Ms. Joenne received her Bachelor degree from the Royal Music Conservatory “Glenn Gould” in Toronto and her master degree in Boston Conservatory of Music. She has been a prize winner in International Chamber Music Competition Glenn Gould at Royal Conservatory and Regional Competition Ontario Music Festivals Associations. As a performer, Ms. Joenne has appeared as soloist with Boston Civic Symphony, Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, Oakville Chamber Orchestra and New York International Chamber Orchestra.
Ayca A Violin
Ayça was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She started her violin studies in 2005 with Prof. Zeynur Erengonul. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory where she graduated with honors in 2016.She appeared as a soloist with MSGSU Symphony Orchestra in Istanbul in 2016. She also studied Violin Performance at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany with Donata Sailer as an Erasmus student for one year where she had the chance of working with conductors such as Marek Janowski, Nicolas Pasquet and Lorenzo Viotti. She played in BMSM Symphony Orchestra in Tel Aviv, Israel where she had the chance to play with Zubin Mehta, Anne Sophie Mutter and Guy Braunstein. After getting a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance in 2019 with Prof. Hagai Shaham in Tel Aviv University, Israel, she is pursuing another Master’s Degree in Violin Performance at the Stony Brook University in New York, currently under the guidance of Hagai Shaham and Philip Setzer. She participated in solo masterclasses with Pierre Amoyal, Andrej Bielow, Lukas David, Herbert Kefer, Hariolf Schlichtig and Yuzuko Horigome. She also participated in orchestral masterclasses with conductors such as Ivan Fischer, Manfred Honeck and Vasily Petrenko. She is a member of New Manhattan Sinfonietta based in New York since January.
